Miami Book Fair International has partnered with South Florida’s NPR member station, WLRN 91.3 FM, for #6WordsMiami, a community project that collects and showcases stories that are six words in length.
Whether it’s memoir, fiction, fantasy or something else altogether, everyone is invited to submit six-word stories, especially those inspired by life in South Florida. #6WordsMiami readings will take place during the Book Fair (Nov. 16-23). WLRN will also create radio segments featuring the stories and their writers in the months leading up to the Book Fair. Some stories will be paired up with original photography and published in a limited-edition postcard set.
Submissions will be accepted in English, Spanish or Creole through Oct. 15. To submit your story, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or submit via Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #6WordsMiami. There is no limit to how many stories you can submit.
