Shannon Roddy Named Chief Financial Officer of MDC FoundationMDC Foundation taps former Broward College executive with expertise in financial leadership and philanthropy

The Miami Dade College Foundation has announced that Shannon Roddy has joined the organization as its new chief financial officer.

Roddy brings 20 years of experience in accounting, taxation, financial planning and reporting, as well as a deep knowledge of public higher education and philanthropy. She most recently served as the chief financial officer for Broward College’s two direct support organizations: Broward College Foundation and BCEduventures, Inc. Prior to that, she held CFO-level positions at institutionally related foundations in the Florida University System and the State University of New York System, including at Florida International University and SUNY New Paltz.

“Shannon brings great depth and experience to the Foundation and has a deep appreciation of our mission,” said Mark Cole, vice president of advancement and executive director of the MDC Foundation. “She has a proven track record of financial excellence and I know the Foundation will benefit from her expertise.”

In her role as CFO, Roddy will provide high-level oversight of all the Foundation’s financial and investment operations.

Roddy began her career in higher education at her alma mater, The College of Saint Rose, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in finance. She is a native of New York and has resided in Miami since 2016. An active member of the community, Roddy sits on the board of the Florida Resource Development Council.
