Inducted into the Miami Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2013, Christopher G. Korge is a committed philanthropist and an innovative entrepreneur. Korge holds an associate in arts degree from Miami Dade College.

With a successful career that has spanned roles including General Counsel for the Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority, Holland & Knight partner, and CEO of NewsLink, Chris was instrumental in securing the Miami Heat franchise for our city and in pioneering new concepts in retail at Miami International Airport.

“Miami Dade College for a long time was the best kept secret; people did not know the impact it had on individuals’ lives.  For me it was the bridge from high school to college, I found MDC to be challenging and innovative.”

A Miami native, Chris is as committed to philanthropy as he is to business. He has served on the boards of numerous non-profits, including the Miami Art Museum, Greater Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and Florida International University Foundation. Beyond his board service, he has chaired the United Way Mayor’s Ball and is a member of the Miami Dade College Foundation 1960 Society.

And, as we enter the 2016 Presidential Election, few in our city can claim greater involvement in recent campaigns. Known as a prolific fundraiser for the Democratic Party, Chris has served as National Finance Co-Chairman for the Presidential Campaigns of Vice President Al Gore and Senators John Kerry and Hillary Clinton.
