MIAMI (March 1, 2022) – Western Governors University (WGU) and Miami Dade College (MDC) have entered an academic collaboration agreement to provide MDC graduates and employees the opportunity to seek affordable bachelor’s and master’s degrees with WGU.
As part of the agreement, graduates and staff of MDC will be eligible to apply for scholarships offered through the WGU Community College Partnership Scholarship. Scholarships are valued at up to $2,500, with $625 credited each term and renewable for up to four terms based on satisfactory academic performance.
“We are pleased to partner with Miami Dade College to offer affordable access to growing professionals,” said Kimberly K. Estep, WGU Southeast Regional Vice President. “Offering pathways for hardworking individuals to develop their careers is integral to the missions of both WGU and MDC. Working together in this capacity, we will ensure students the possibility of obtaining their goals.”

In addition, access to career services, alumni events, and activities will be provided through various WGU channels of outreach. WGU and MDC will collaborate to execute ongoing enrollment campaigns and educational assistance benefits.
