Miami, Dec. 8, 2023 – The Honors College at Miami Dade College (MDC), a national model and one of the most prestigious and successful programs of its kind in the country, is currently accepting applications for its Fall 2024 cohort.
In-person information sessions will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at MDC Wolfson Campus and Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at MDC North Campus from 6 – 8 p.m. During the sessions, prospective applicants will learn about opportunities inside and outside the classroom and hear from current students, faculty and Honors College directors. Attendees can also obtain information about the admissions process, scholarship eligibility and enrollment expectations. The deadline to apply for Priority Consideration is Friday, Jan. 12, 2024 and the Final Deadline is Monday, March 11, 2024.
MDC Honors College students are selected via a competitive process that includes an online application, one letter of recommendation, official test scores, writing samples and an interview or submission of a video addressing a prompt. There are multiple ways for applicants to tell their stories and demonstrate that they are prepared to be an Honors College Fellow. Applicants are evaluated on the entirety of their background, personal qualities, academic preparation and life experience.
