Classes start January 3 with flexible options, financial assistance and new programs available
Miami, Dec. 15, 2023 – Registration is open for Miami Dade College’s (MDC) 2024 spring semester with classes starting Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024. In addition to the regular 16-week semester, MDC will offer several miniterms that can be completed in 6 – 14 weeks.
MDC will kick off 2024 with a robust catalog of in-person and virtual classes, including a new Bachelor of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence, the first of its kind in Florida and among the first in the country. The College offers hundreds of degree pathways leading to associate and bachelor’s degrees, as well as College Credit Certificates and dozens of short-term workforce programs and courses to acquire skills in growing and in-demand sectors, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, education and nursing, among others.
Classes are available in-person, via MDC LIVE, blended and online. Significant financial aid and many scholarships are available, including Future Ready, Presidential Scholars, Rising Scholars, Fast Track Sharks, Last Mile Scholarship, Welcome Back Scholarship and more. **MDC will be closed for Winter Recess from Dec. 18, 2023, to Jan. 1, 2024. However, student services will be available in-person or virtual the following days:

- In-person Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 19 – 20, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Virtual Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 27 – 28, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
