Register Now for Miami Dade College’s REVEST Program

Miami, Aug. 6, 2018 –  Registration is now open for Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Refugee/Entrant Vocational Education Services Training (REVEST) Program.  This acclaimed program is the entry point for new Americans seeking education and employment opportunities.  It has served the English-language and vocational needs of thousands of refugees and immigrants for decades.

Information sessions are ongoing.  Newly arrived refugees can learn about scholarship and financial aid opportunities, academic assessment, long-term advisement, referrals to other service agencies, transportation and child care subsidies, and assistance with the translation and evaluation of foreign credentials. The REVEST program offers free of charge tuition, books, and services to qualifying students.  Classes are scheduled to begin Sept. 4 and Oct. 24.

MDC’s “open door” academic policy is strategically used to meet the goals of academic equality, and ensures that all persons seeking a higher education will have that opportunity. MDC has admitted more than 2,000,000 students and counting and is often called Democracy’s College because of this achievement and the fact that 192 nations are represented in its current student body.
