Classes start January 6 with flexible options, financial assistance and new programs available
Miami, Nov. 8, 2024 – Registration is open for Miami Dade College’s (MDC) 2025 spring semester with classes starting Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. In addition to the regular 16-week semester, MDC will offer several miniterms that can be completed in 8 – 14 weeks.
With eight campuses and a robust catalog of online courses, MDC offers hundreds of degree pathways leading to associate and bachelor’s degrees, as well as College Credit Certificates, apprenticeships and dozens of short-term workforce programs and courses to acquire skills in growing and in-demand sectors, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, education and nursing, among others.
Significant financial aid and unique scholarships are available, including the Future Ready scholarship launched last year in collaboration with Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, which offers Miami-Dade County residents the opportunity to complete an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree at MDC with zero cost. Other scholarships available include Presidential Scholars, Rising Scholars, Fast Track Sharks, Last Mile, Welcome Back Sharks, among others. MDC students also have access to exciting internship opportunities with key partners such as FIFA and Only in Dade.

- Wednesday, Jan. 8 (8-week miniterm)
- Tuesday, Jan. 21 (14-week miniterm)
- Monday, Feb. 3 (12-week miniterm).
- Monday, March 3 (8-week miniterm)
