Public Notice – Notice of Rulemaking and Meeting – District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College

The District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. The meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m.  It will be held  at the Wolfson Campus located at 300 N.E. 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida in the  James K. Batten Community Room (Room 2106).

During the meeting, a Public Hearing will be held pertaining to the amendment of the following Rule:

RULE NUMBER /TITLE:
Policy VIII-31 Grading Practices

RULE SUMMARY:
The policy will be revised to eliminate the computation of Unsatisfactory “U” grades in the Grade Point Average (GPA).

LAWS IMPLEMENTED:
Section 1001.02, Florida Statutes; and
Section 1001.65, Florida Statutes
