MIAMI, Nov. 12, 2019 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus Aquatic & Fitness Center will observe the month of November as Wellness Awareness Month with a series of activities to take place at various locations throughout campus Nov. 13 – 22. These activities are free and open to the public and designed to raise awareness of healthy living, physical activity and overall wellness.

Wellness Circle
Panel discussion about wellness from the mental, physical and financial prospective, by Joy Berkheimer, Dominick Maurici, and Michael Castro, moderated by professor Kay Rubin. A recorded version will be available to MDC’s Meek Center on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., in Room 1103

North Campus Global Walk
The International Education and Wellness Month Committees will host North Campus’s first Global Walk. The one-mile walk will begin outside of the library and around the lake four times. North Campus students, employees, and the campus community will represent various countries by wearing flag colors during the walk. Donations for the North Campus Food Pantry will be accepted at the event.
