Miami, Jan. 10, 2023 – Mark your calendars for an evening of creating and networking! The Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) presents a Hands-on Art-Making Workshop and Reception on Thursday, Feb. 9, at IS Projects, a public access printmaking and book arts studio. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by The Tank Brewing company. Event for ages 21 and up.

Test your skills at Suminagashi Paper Marbling and Letterpress Printing with real, vintage wood-type machines from IS Projects’ antique-type collection, take part in Write-A-Sign poster making, and learn Japanese-style paper marbling techniques using water and ink to create intricate and unique designs. While waiting for the marbling to dry, set up your own text using wood type on the vintage sign printing press, and later print the design onto an original, marbled piece! Each attendee will take their masterpieces home to cherish forever and share with friends and family.
