Miami Dade College’s Padrón Campus to Host Advance U: Career Expo

Miami, Oct. 14, 2019 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Padrón Campus again invites students and the community at large to attend Advance U: Miami Dade College Career Expo, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m.

This event is geared toward adult learners who want to advance in their careers by earning a certificate or degree or receiving credits for skills they already have. Participants can also learn about MDC job opportunities and programs designed for foreign-trained professionals, refugees, and immigrant students.

Community service agencies will be on site to provide additional information about other services that help people reach their goals. “This is the day that we invite our community to learn how short-term programs and workforce programs at Miami Dade College can help them reach their potential in their career” said Dr. Malou C. Harrison, president of North and Padrón Campuses.

Representatives on site will include AARP’s Back to Work 50+ Initiative; Career Technical Education; College Career Connect Grant; Continuing Education; EAP/ACE; Foreign Trained Professionals Program; Human Resources; MDCWorks; Prior Learning Assessment Office; REVEST; School of Education; School of Global Business; School of Engineering, Technology & Design; TechHire; Translation/Interpretation Studies; and TRIO.
