Miami Dade College’s North Campus to Host School of Justice Career Fair Nov. 14

MIAMI, Oct. 30, 2019 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) School of Justice, Public Safety and Law Studies will host a career fair on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 9 a.m., at North Campus with more than 20 municipal, state and federal agencies, which are actively seeking qualified candidates for employment. The event is free and open to the public.

The looming shortage of police officers at local agencies is well documented. This is not only a concern for local organizations, but also for State and Federal agencies. MDC’s School of Justice has proactively worked to address this issue opening its doors to agencies hiring police candidates and holding several recruiting events and job fairs. Agency job postings are distributed via the School of Justice’ social media pages and bulletin boards.

The renowned School of Justice at the North Campus has been training and educating public safety professionals for over 41 years, domestically and internationally. More than 80 percent of all public safety professionals in Miami-Dade County have been trained at the School of Justice. The school offers associates degrees in criminal justice, a Bachelor in Applied Science degree in public safety management with seven specialized tracks, college credit certificates in homeland security and crime scene technology, certifications in basic law enforcement, corrections and firefighter, and private security, and specialized executive leadership training and assessment services.
