Miami Dade College’s North Campus Celebrates Constitution Day

Miami, Sept. 13, 2018   – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus will once again host Constitution Day, Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 11:30 a.m. Copies of the U.S. Constitution will be distributed to all attendees.  The event is free and open to the public.

“The U. S. Constitution is a living document that not only embodies the vision of our founding fathers, but also encompasses the cultural and social principals of our great nation. This is the day that we invite our community to reflect on values and ideals such as equality, justice for all, freedom of expression and religion, and the right to pursue our highest potential” said Dr. Malou C. Harrison, president of North and InterAmerican Campuses.

Panelists will include the Honorable Judge Gina Beovides, 11th Circuit Court of Miami-Dade County; Honorable Judge Daryl Trawick, 11th Circuit Court of Miami-Dade County; Dr. Richard Patiño, of Patiño Law Firm; and MDC Professor, Dr. Glenn Dyer. Participants will have the opportunity to pose questions to the panel on a variety of constitutional issues.
