Miami, March 10, 2020 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Medical Campus will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its new Dental Clinic Suite at 1 p.m., on Monday, March 23. This marks the completion of renovations for all the seven dental labs with fully updated suites. Dr. Steve Marcus, President & CEO of the Health Foundation of South Florida, will deliver remarks.
Through the generosity of the Health Foundation of South Florida (HFSF), the Medical Campus has revamped a Dental Suite to provide additional comfort and ease for patients, as well as the resources to prepare students for a future in the dental industry. The chairs come equipped with the latest technology, which includes computer monitors that allow the students access to data digitally, including digital radiographs.
The Medical Campus offers the community at large affordable, quality medical care through two practice clinics: Vision Care Clinic and Dental Hygiene Clinic. In addition to providing a public service, the clinics allow students to gain invaluable hands-on experience under the supervision of experienced faculty. Learn more about the clinics here.
