Miami Dade College’s Jazz at Wolfson Series Presents Guitarist Craig Wagner April 21

Miami, April 19, 2021 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Arts and Philosophy department continues its successful jazz series Jazz at Wolfson Presents with guitarist Craig Wagner, who will perform livestreamed from Louisville, Kentucky at noon, Wednesday, April 21. All Jazz at Wolfson Presents concerts are free to the public.

Known for his unique fingerstyle approach forged in a tradition from his home state of Kentucky, Wagner has performed extensively throughout North America, South America and Europe. From venues as legendary as Carnegie Hall, as intimate as The Cavern Club and The Blue Note, and rock festivals as huge and divergent as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, he has performed at the highest levels in the jazz, orchestral and rock worlds.

In addition to playing in his hometown with the Louisville Orchestra, Wagner has performed with the LA Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and New World Symphony working with some of the world’s most renown conductors, such as Michael Tilson Thomas and Erich Kunzel. Most recently, he recorded a live performance in Miami of Tilson Thomas’ “Four Preludes on Playthings of the Wind” with the New World Symphony (NWS) for the classical channel Medici.TV with Tilson Thomas conducting. He also played with NWS and Michael Tilson Thomas at the piece’s premier performance at Carnegie Hall.
