Miami Dade College’s Jazz at Wolfson Presents Organist Jared Gold

Miami, Sept. 18, 2024 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Arts and Philosophy Department continues its successful jazz series, Jazz at Wolfson Presents, with organist Jared Gold at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at MDC Wolfson Campus. This and all Jazz at Wolfson Presents concerts are free and open to the public.

Gold’s emergence as one of New York’s most in-demand musicians comes from years of dedication and respect to his instrument. With such notable influences as Larry Young, Jack McDuff and Don Patterson, he is considered one of the more original organists on the scene today. His latest release, Reemergence, features Dave Stryker, Jeremy Pelt and Billy Hart. For the past 15 years, Gold has also been a member of Dave Stryker’s Trio, which opened for Steely Dan’s 2022 summer tour and has recorded 10 albums for Strikezone Records. Gold has also recorded eight solo albums for the Positone Label including: Solids & Stripes (2008), Supersonic (2009), Out Of Line (2010), All Wrapped Up (2011), Golden Child (2012), Intuition (2013), JG 3+3 (2014) and Metropolitan Rhythm (2018).

A New Jersey native and graduate of William Paterson University’s Jazz Program, Gold keeps a busy schedule of domestic and international tours and founded his company JG3 Tech, which builds folding portable midi organs and ultra-lightweight portable midi bass pedals.
