Miami Dade College to Present Musical Comedy I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!

Miami, March 10, 2017-  Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Wolfson Opera/Musical Theatre Ensemble presents the popular and outstanding musical I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 19, and Wednesday, March 22, at its Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.

Directed by Amy Davis and Emmanuel Schvartzman, with choreography by Lee Pugh, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! is a musical comedy which reinvigorates the revue by taking an entertaining journey through the spectrum of modern male-female relationships. The musical comedy premiered at New Jersey’s American Stage company in 1995, and ran for over 5000 performances in 10 years, to become one of the longest-running Broadway shows. The musical has been showcased in over 250 cities world-wide including London, Tel-Aviv, Amsterdam, Sydney, Seoul, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg, to name a few. In 1999, the musical comedy was awarded three Carbonell Awards including Best Production of a Musical. In addition to its overwhelming success, the Off-Broadway production has been the site of 50 marriage proposals.

MDC’s Wolfson Opera/Musical Theatre Ensemble is an intensive program, dedicated to helping young students who are interested in pursuing a career in musical, operatic, and theatrical performances. By taking classes in all major music performance and education areas, the program is created in order to expand students’ skills and level of stage experience; thus, giving each student the necessary skills in order to become a successful music leader in today’s music industry.

Tickets for all performances are $15 for general admission and $5 for MDC students, faculty, and staff, with a MDC ID. Seating is limited.
