Miami, Feb. 24, 2023 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will host Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Marisa Lago for a roundtable discussion at 2:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at MDC Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. Under Secretary Lago will be joined by MDC President Madeline Pumariega and other College leaders, students and alumni of the acclaimed Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program to discuss inclusive economic growth and the impact of the program in South Florida. Working media is invited to cover the opening remarks.
Under Secretary Lago will stress the International Trade Administration’s commitment to expanding the pool of exporters and serving all American workers and businesses—including those in historically underserved communities—and will also hear from first-generation professionals and business leaders about challenges facing small- and medium-sized enterprises.
