Miami, Sept. 30, 2023 – In an effort to assist students and staff from Miami International University of Art & Design (Ai), better known as Art Institutes, Miami Dade College (MDC) will host an in-person Open House for students and a Job Fair for faculty and staff from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, at MDC Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.
MDC is committed to helping the Art Institutes community navigate the stress and uncertainty of the school’s recent closure. The College will provide wrap-around services to help those students move forward with their educational and personal goals. Many of the programs at Art Institutes are offered at MDC, including Animation and Game Art; Fashion Design and Merchandising; Film, Television and Digital Production; and Graphic and Interior Design, among others. Additionally, there are also many opportunities to redirect their current studies into similar arts-related programs. The Open House will answer questions about admissions, advisement and financial aid, and give students the opportunity to consider enrolling in the next 8-week miniterm, starting October 23, and tour the Miami Animation and Gaming Complex (MAGIC), among other MDC state-of-the art facilities.
The College will also host a Job Fair for Art Institutes faculty and staff who have been displaced. On-the-spot interviews will be conducted, and job offers may be extended.
