Register to vote NOW through Oct. 9 to vote in November and vote early at MDC’s North and Kendall Campuses from Oct. 22 through Nov. 4
Miami, Sept. 21, 2018 – On National Voter Registration Day (NVRD), Sept. 25, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) eight campuses will host voter registration events to encourage students and the community to sign up to vote, with entertainment, giveaways and refreshments. Events are free and open to the public.
A designated early voting location for the upcoming general elections, MDC’s North and Kendall Campuses will be open to students, employees and the community for convenient early voting from Monday, Oct. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 4.
Millions of Americans every year find themselves unable to vote because they haven’t updated their registration, aren’t sure how to register, or missed an important registration deadline. Established in 2012, NVRD is a day of civic unity and an opportunity to set aside differences and celebrate democracy, as well as the rights and opportunities shared by all Americans.
MDC has participated in NVRD every year since its inception in 2012. In recognition of the college’s sustained commitment to non-partisan voter engagement, MDC earned the Voter Friendly Campus designation through Campus Vote Project and NASPA in 2016.
In addition, MDC campuses and outreach center are open now through Oct. 9 for voter registration. Hours and locations for each campus listed below:
