Pop-Up Story Walk

Padrón Campus, Learning Resources – Room 6011, 627 SW 27th Ave., Miami

Pop-up Story Walk is a library event that promotes literacy, voice, and art appreciation using deconstructed children’s storybooks created by MDC Early Education students installed in the Learning Commons at the Padron Campus. This event showcases the Storybook project created by future educators to illustrate the importance of diverse voices, models the power of storytelling, and inspires children to write their own stories too. Begin a homegrown children’s story at the start of a trail, read posted pages along the way, engage with our student authors, and end the walk mingling with the MDC community.

The LibGuide provides a list of MDC’s National Library Week events and serves as the central and virtual hub with a complete list of events and resources for students, faculty, and staff. For a complete schedule of MDC National Library Week events, visit https://libraryguides.mdc.edu/NLW.
