Miami, Sept. 27, 2022 – The safety of Miami Dade College (MDC) students and employees is always the top priority. Due to the accelerated weather conditions Hurricane Ian is producing, MDC will suspend all operations and classes beginning at 4:30 p.m. this evening and all-day Wednesday, Sept. 28.
This action has been taken in alignment with Miami-Dade County Public Schools and other higher education institutions in the county. An announcement regarding Thursday classes and operations will be made Wednesday afternoon.
The Miami Dade College Emergency Management team has been working diligently to secure and prepare our campuses since last week for any impact the storm may have. For additional updates, please monitor our communications via MDC’s website, social media @MDCollege, email, and our hotline at 305-237-7500.
The MDC community’s thoughts and prayers are with those directly in the storm’s path.
