Miami, Sept. 11, 2019- Miami Dade College’s (MDC) School of Justice, Public Safety and Law Studies will host the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) as representatives discuss career opportunities on Monday, Sept. 23, at 9 a.m., at the North Campus.
The DIA provides military intelligence to deployed military personnel, defense policymakers and force planners in the Department of Defense and the intelligence community, in support of U.S. military planning and operations, and weapon systems acquisition. The agency plans, manages, and executes intelligence operations during peacetime, crisis, and war.
The DIA’s diverse workforce is skilled in military history and doctrine, economics, physics, chemistry, world history, political science, bio-sciences, and computer sciences, to name a few. The agency travels the world and works closely with professionals from foreign countries.

MDC’s renowned School of Justice has been training and educating public safety professionals for nearly 42 years, domestically and internationally. More than 80 percent of all public safety professionals in Miami-Dade County have been trained at the School of Justice. The school offers a Bachelor in Applied Science degree in public safety management with seven specialized tracks, associate degrees in criminal justice, college credit certificates in homeland security and crime scene technology, certifications in basic law enforcement, corrections and firefighter, and private security, and specialized executive leadership training and assessment services.
