Miami Dade College President and Leadership to Participate in 10th World Strategic Forum

MDC is once again the Presenting Partner of the annual two-day hybrid conference on the global economy, finance, innovation, education, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, energy and trade

Miami, Sept. 27, 2021 – Miami Dade College (MDC) President Madeline Pumariega will deliver opening remarks at the 10th edition of the World Strategic Forum at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4. The two-day, hybrid (virtual and in-person) conference will take place Oct. 4 – 5, at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. MDC is once again the conference’s Presenting Partner.

President Pumariega will also moderate a plenary session on Reskilling Revolution at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4. The session will discuss what artificial intelligence will mean for the future of work amid the huge leap in digitization in industries and operations. MDC’s Vice President of Innovation and Technology Partnerships, Antonio Delgado, will moderate a plenary session on Revolutionizing Education with Institutional Collaboration and Technology at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The session will discuss how the measures of lockdown imposed during the pandemic have accelerated the use of technology in education.

The World Strategic Forum is an initiative of the International Economic Forum of the Americas and brings together government and business leaders from around the world to discuss global issues and cultivates engagement and forges dialogue on the issues driving political, economic and social change throughout the world. Under the theme “Mastering the Economic Revival,” this year’s conference will feature more than 1,400 participants and 90 speakers. Topics will include: How to Promote the FinTech industry; Shifting Towards Smart, Resilient and Sustainable Infrastructure; How Banks are Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in the Post-COVID Economic Recovery; Privacy and Cybersecurity in the 5G Era; and How Can Business Lead Sustainable Change among many others.
