Miami, January 8, 2024 – Today, Miami Dade College (MDC) announced a collaboration with Slalom to join Slalom TEACH, an innovative public-private partnership bringing Slalom consultants into the classroom to serve as adjunct faculty.
“Our students thrive when they are exposed to business and technology industry practitioners and best practices,” said Antonio Delgado, MDC’s Vice President, Innovation and Technology Partnerships. “We are excited that Slalom is looking to invest in MDC students and shaping the talent of the future.”
Slalom is a purpose-led, global business and technology consulting company serving all industries, including higher education with a focus on improving the student experience.
“Beyond our consulting work with colleges and universities, we want to do even more to support MDC and the success of its students, their families, and the entire Miami-Dade region,” said Beau Williamson, General Manager of Slalom Florida. In addition to the time Slalom consultants will invest in the classroom as adjunct faculty, the company is also donating to the MDC Foundation in support of its mission to change lives, families, communities, and the world through the opportunity of education.
The first class under the Slalom TEACH program is Cloud Essentials being offered in Spring 2024, which provides students with the foundations of cloud computing. To register and for more information, visit https://www.mdc.edu/cloudcomputingcertificate.
