Miami Dade College Partners with Miami Fashion Week to Host Summit on Nov. 20 – 21

MDC Fashion Students Will Showcase Their Original Designs and Assist Behind the Scenes

Miami, Nov. 19, 2024 – The Miami Fashion Institute (MFI) at Miami Dade College (MDC), the official education partner of Miami Fashion Week (MIAFW), will host the Miami Fashion Week Summit from 10 a.m. – noon on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 20 – 21, at MDC Wolfson Campus featuring a panel of top industry leaders discussing sustainability in fashion, media and more. MDC has been a partner of MIAFW since 2017. The Summit is free and open to the public.

This year’s Summit will feature panelists Magali Mendez, Yenny Batista and Sigal Cohen, among other. In addition, MDC fashion students will showcase their original designs at an exhibit Nov. 19 – 23 at the Gary Nader Art Centre, 62 N.E. 27th Ave. MFI students will also assist designers behind the scenes at fashion shows throughout the city.
