MIAMI, Fla., April 28, 2026 — Miami Dade College (MDC), through its School of Continuing Education and Professional Development, announces the launch of EmpowerU Summer Camp, its first educational program specifically designed for neurodivergent children. The program will kick off on Tuesday, April 28 at MDC’s Kendall Campus. Working media are invited to attend.
Presented in partnership with Supreme Twins Foundation, this innovative initiative offers an inclusive, structured and enriching environment where participants can develop social, emotional and life skills while enjoying a meaningful summer experience. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to specialized programs that support children and families in the community.

The EmpowerU Summer Camp is part of MDC’s broader summer offerings, reinforcing the college’s leadership in developing innovative, community-responsive programs that promote inclusion and lifelong learning.
Present at the event and available for comment will be Madeline Pumariega, president of Miami Dade College; Enrique Infanzon, dean of the School of Continuing Education and Professional Development; representatives from Supreme Twins Foundation; families and community members and community leaders and influencers.
