Miami Dade College and Miami-Dade Public Library System to Host Summer Reading Challenge

Miami, June 25, 2019 – A “Universe of Stories” awaits this summer!  Miami Dade College (MDC) in partnership with the Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS), will host the Summer Reading Challenge. This college-wide initiative by MDC’s Learning Resources department encourages summer reading, and will run through Saturday, Aug. 3, at all MDC’s campuses.

The more books a person reads, the more chances of winning great prizes, such as: Miami Marlins tickets, Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat autographed memorabilia, a one‑year family membership to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, a family four-pack of tickets for a show at the Adrienne Arsht Center, and much more. Program is open to all MDC students, staff and faculty.

Visit any library at MDC to register and pick up a reading log. Visitors can check out books and/or audiobooks. They can also complete and submit one entry ticket for every 30 minutes someone reads or listens to a book. Submit as many entries as you like. The drawing will take place after Aug 3. You do not need to be present to win.
