MDC’s West Campus to Host Persistence Sculpture Exhibition with Artist Luis Kaiulani March 2

Miami, March 1, 2023 – Miami Dade College (MDC)’s West Campus will present Persistence Sculpture Exhibition by Hawaiian-Venezuelan artist Luis Kaiulani at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 2. The exhibition is free and open to the public with RSVP.

Kaiulani describes his influence as a combination of culture and nature, aligned with geography and philosophy. His upbringing involved absorbing all the wonders of Hawaii, and while he credits his affinity toward nature to this, he was also shaped by his fiery Venezuelan heritage.

For 20 years, Kaiulani’s attention to fluidity, mindfulness and color dimension has sought his artworks into their realm, creating abstract works that draw from his heritage and are expressed through sculptures, paintings and art objects.
