Little Havana’s art house cinema also invites the public to share their ‘wildest’ boss stories via an Instagram stories contest for a chance to win movie tickets + popcorn
WHAT:
Bring your work colleagues, boss (or not) and friends to Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Tower Theater Miami for the theatrical release of the Spanish comedy The Good Boss, followed by an opening night reception. All ticketholders can enjoy the free reception courtesy of Estrella Damm beer and discuss the film with the programmers and fellow audience members.
Cohen Media Group’s The Good Boss received a record-breaking 20 nominations at the 2022 Goya Awards, winning six awards including Best Picture, Best Actor to Best Director. The film was selected as Miami Film Festival’s Opening Night Film this past March and screened to a full-house with director Fernando León de Aranoa in attendance. This workplace satire stars Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem as Blanco, a charismatic and manipulative factory owner who crosses every line imaginable, including meddling in the lives of his employees, in an attempt to win a business excellence award.
In conjunction with the film’s debut, Tower Theater Miami is giving away two (2) pairs of movie tickets + popcorn via an Instagram stories contest. To participate, follow @TowerTheaterMiami and @MiamiFilm on Instagram and when prompted, share your ‘wildest’ boss stories…without naming people by name because that’s no bueno! The deadline to participate is Monday, August 29 at 11:59 p.m. EST and some of the best submissions will be shared by Tower Theater Miami. Winners will be selected at random and announced the following Wednesday.
