Miami, July 23, 2020 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) new Business Innovation and Technology (BIT) Center, will offer two webinars exploring new trends of technology in the financial industry and how to incorporate the “new normal” in customer service. The webinars are free and open to the public.
The Next Generation Sales and Customer Service with Salesforce webinar will take place on Thursday, July 23, at 12 p.m. Customers today have much higher expectations, such as proactive service, personalized interactions, and connected experiences across channels. As customer behavior changed, technology has evolved with it, creating tremendous opportunity for career development. Attendees can learn about the “new normal” for customer expectations and how to train for a career in the ever-growing Salesforce economy. The webinar will be led by Vala Afshar, Chief Digital Evangelist for Salesforce, author of The Pursuit of Social Business Excellence and a co-host of DisrupTV, a weekly show covering the latest digital business and innovation market trends. On Tuesday, July 28, at 12 p.m., The Future of Finance in a Nutshell event will gather experts in the banking industry to explore the latest developments in fintech, which is the technology that supports financial services. The giants and disruptors behind the technology that is changing the way people interact with money will discuss the fintech ecosystem, digital payments, blockchain, and artificial intelligence in trading. The event will be moderated by Alvaro Morales, former President of Banco Santander International and Senior Advisor in Digital Transformation of Grupo Mezerhane. Guest speakers will include: Ramon Martin, Former Global Head of Merchant Sales and President of Merchant Americas Amex; Carlos Domingo, CEO of Securitize; and Israel Hernandez, Founder of M3 Trading.
