Miami, April 10, 2018 – Come to sunny Miami to write (or rewrite!) your next great work! The Miami Writers Institute, an annual creative writing conference produced by the acclaimed Miami Book Fair (MBF) at Miami Dade College (MDC), returns with a roster of top names in the literary world. The conference features intensive writing workshops with bestselling authors, craft talks, publishing seminars, manuscript consultations with an editor, and happy hour events from May 9 – 12, at MDC’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.
This year’s workshops range from 1-day seminars to 4-day series and include:

- Making Fiction True: Adding Texture and Meaning with Lesley Nneka Arimah
- Memoir Workshop: From Brainstorming to Final Edits with Ada Calhoun
- Character Development Workshop: Get to Know Your People with Sara Benincasa

- Publishing Seminar: Putting Your Best Book Forward with Liz Van Hoose
