Miami, July 10, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus, in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Miami-Dade County, will host a Candidates Forum, at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, for candidates running for the Florida Senate District 40 Primary Election.
Candidates confirmed to be present include: Ana Rivas Logan (D); Lorenzo Palomares (R); and Annette Taddeo (D). Candidates pending confirmation include: Jose Felix Diaz (R) and Alex Diaz de la Portilla (R).
This is an opportunity for voters to meet the candidates and learn where they stand on the issues that are crucial to them. This forum will help voters make an informed decision when they cast their ballot in the Primary Election on July 25.
Additional community partners include WLRN, Miami Herald, ACLU Florida, Women’s Fund Miami-Dade, YWCA, Kendall Federation of Homeowners, Engage Miami and National Council of Jewish Women Kendall.
