Miami, Sept. 14, 2018 – The popular Pioneers @ MDC lecture series, presented by The Idea Center at Miami Dade College (MDC), will host Heather Monahan, best-selling author, motivational coach, keynote speaker with the Harry Walker Agency and Founder of Boss in Heels. The event will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 21, at MDC Wolfson Campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
Monahan’s talks focus on leadership, self-empowerment and career development. Author of the book Confidence Creator, she will share insights on the essential techniques to building confidence and becoming your best self. Using personal stories from her life and career, Monahan illustrates the tough lessons she learned along the way that helped her develop the self-assurance necessary for getting what she wanted in life. She is also a mentor and leader in the South Florida Community.
The Idea Center @ MDC is the college’s hub of entrepreneurship and innovation, the place where students from all disciplines can gather, collaborate and take advantage of resources and training to develop their entrepreneurial ideas. Through cutting-edge entrepreneurship education, professional development and experiential learning, students and community members can acquire the tools needed to identify challenges and develop solutions.
