MDC’s Freedom Tower “Goes Teal” for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

Miami, Oct. 23, 2019 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will once again illuminate its Historic Landmark Freedom Tower teal as part of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s annual “Light the World in Teal®” initiative on Thursday, Nov. 7, at sunset.

More than 300 landmarks worldwide are going teal for National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month to raise awareness of this devastating disease that affects more than 5 million Americans and millions more worldwide. The public is encouraged to snap photos and post them to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #AFALightTheWorldInTeal.
