MDC’s Acclaimed Miami Culinary Institute to Induct New Class of Future Chefs Sept. 29

Miami, Sept. 22, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) state-of-the-art Miami Culinary Institute (MCI) will officially induct a new class of aspiring chefs, who will receive their chef coats at a special ceremony at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.

MCI’s Chef’s Coat Ceremony marks the beginning of the students’ journey toward achieving an Associate in Science (A.S.) in culinary arts management and becoming a part of Miami’s dynamic gastronomic scene.

This year’s key note speaker is Chef Chris Santos, owner of Best Chefs Catering.  Santos’ story of how a determined 19-year-old successfully managed to build a small business was featured on cover of the July issue of Live Doral Magazine. He will be marking his third season of Cooking with Chris videos on YouTube where he currently enjoys a large and loyal following.
