MDC WORKS Career Studio Launches New Website and Workshops

Miami, April 29, 2020 – This is not your parents’ career services office. MDC WORKS Career Studio at Miami Dade College (MDC) is equipped with all the latest resources and support to help students launch their careers, including a variety of professional development workshops, employer information sessions, networking opportunities, virtual hiring events, resume writing, interview preparation, and access to nearly 2,000 jobs and internships. And now, with a brand-new website, it’s easier than ever for students to connect with their Career Coach, employers, MDC alumni and other students across the country to network their way into the job of their dreams.

Launched in 2018, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Labor and the Florida Department of Education, MDC WORKS was the first program of its kind to integrate interactive, virtual and augmented reality into its career exploration process at an academic institution in Florida. MDC WORKS is free and automatically available to all MDC students; all they have to do is activate their personal Career Portal by signing in with their MDC email address and password. Once the portal is activated, students must confirm their address via e-mail and the rest is easy.

In addition to providing resources to help students develop the critical skills necessary to succeed in the workforce and accelerate their careers, MDC WORKS offers some workshops to non-students as well.

Upcoming FREE workshops/events open to students and the community:
