MDC Wolfson Campus to Host ACCESS-MEED Job Fair: Connecting Students with Disabilities to Career Opportunities

Miami, Oct. 28, 2024 – As part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Miami Dade College’s (MDC)  MEED program will host ACCESS-MEED Job Fair, a unique event that aims to connect students with disabilities to meaningful job opportunities on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami.  This event is free and open to the public.

The fair will provide an ideal platform for students to showcase their talents and explore internships and career paths while interacting directly with recruiters from various industries. Employers will have access to a pool of candidates with unique perspectives and skills, benefiting from the creativity, problem-solving abilities and dedication that many individuals with disabilities bring to the workforce.

Participating companies and entities include Miami-Dade County, City of Miami, Center for Independent Living of the Keys, University of Miami, Goodwill South Florida, AAR Aircrafts Services, HOPE, Inc., YMCA of South Florida, Terminal Security solutions, Solidaridad Sin Fronteras, Alorica, TD Bank, Florida Department of Children and Families, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Andaz Miami Beach Hotel, Wells Fargo, CareerSource South Florida, Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, City of Sunny Isles Beach, Publix Supermarkets Inc., IGT Glass Hardware, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, and City of West Miami, among others.
