MDC to Host Former President of the Dominican Republic during Hispanic History Month on Oct. 4

Miami, Sept. 21, 2016Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Wolfson Campus will host a special presentation by former president of the Dominican Republic, now president of the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development, Dr. Leonel Fernandez, on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 12:30 p.m. This event is presented as part of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Free and open to the public.

Dr. Fernandez’s talk, titled Latinos in the USA: An Essential Link to the Future of the Americas, will discuss the development of Latinos in the U.S. and its relationship to Latin America’s competitiveness.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development. President Fernandez has spoken at MDC several times in the past and is a huge supporter of its students and mission.
