Miami, Nov. 10, 2021 – Miami Dade College (MDC) Padrón Campus’ award-winning student literary magazine Urbana won an Innovation Pacemaker Award, which encourages out-of-the-box thinking and rewards student media for the courage to take chances to improve service to their readers and communities. The magazine was honored by the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) during its virtual presentation of the Fall National College Media Convention.
Founded in 2007, Urbana’s mission is serving as a medium of expression for students, helping to promote their artistic and creative work.
This year, Urbana also received the following awards:
