New Cohort begins Jan. 19, 2027
Deadline to apply: Oct. 7
MIAMI, Sept. 10, 2026 — Entrepreneurs looking to strengthen their businesses and prepare for their next stage of growth can now apply for the 39th cohort of the 10,000 Small Businesses program at Miami Dade College (MDC).
A partnership between MDC and Goldman Sachs, the program offers practical, classroom-based business education designed to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses, access financial capital and build valuable professional networks — at no cost to participants.
Cohort 39 is scheduled to begin Jan. 19, 2027, at MDC’s Wolfson Campus. Applications are due Oct. 7, 2026. To apply, visit 10KSBapply.com or call 305-237-7817.
The program combines classroom instruction with one-on-one advising, clinics and workshops led by subject matter experts. Goldman Sachs professionals also participate as panelists and judges for “Rocket Pitches,” giving business owners an opportunity to practice presenting their businesses to potential lenders and investors.
Participants learn how to identify and evaluate business opportunities, understand financial statements, hire, retain and lead employees, negotiate effectively and develop a comprehensive growth plan, among other skills.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Be the owner or co-owner of a business.
- Have been in operation for at least two years.
- Have annual revenue of at least $75,000 in the most recent fiscal year.
- Have a minimum of two employees, including the owner.
Since the program launched at MDC in February 2014, more than 1,000 small-business owners have graduated, gaining knowledge, resources and connections to help position their businesses for continued growth.
