MDC North Campus Presents 2021 Virtual Miami International Festival of the Arts

Miami, FL, April 12, 2021 — Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus is once again hosting the Miami International Festival of the Arts (MIFA), an annual, week-long event dedicated to the performing and creative arts, starting today through Friday, April 16. This year, the festival will be virtual. All activities are free and open to the public.

Highlighting this year’s theme, Healing through the Arts, the festival will feature painting exhibitions, music performances, poetry and book readings, and film screenings by students and faculty.

For more than two decades, the MIFA has enriched the North Campus cultural landscape through concerts, readings, movies, exhibitions, theatrical and dance performances. The festival offers students unique opportunities to perform in front of peers, the campus community, and their families. It showcases educational pathways in the arts available at the college, its diverse student body, and the faculty’s emerging talent.

“MDC North Campus understands the important role that the arts play in the development of our students and overall community,” said Fermín Vazquez, interim North Campus president. “We are so proud to once again present another rich week of art and cultural programming, highlighting the remarkable work by our students and faculty.”
