Live Arts Miami’s new identity and logo mark 30 years of impactful programming in the community while setting a new vision for decades to come. It centers the organization as firmly rooted within the College with a reach that extends to all of Miami and beyond. In addition to a new look, Live Arts Miami will open with a new mission and set of core organizational values and the tagline “Your stage for creating change,” a renewed commitment to producing live arts programs and initiatives that do more than entertain; they empower artists, audiences, and students to cultivate change in our community.

“This is an exciting change for us, one that marks a crucial moment in the growth of the organization and honors the legacy of our three incredible decades of work in the community” said Kathryn Garcia, Executive Director. “We remain committed to serving our unique and diverse community including the live arts landscape that our programs have helped to nurture and thrive in South Florida, and our rebranding clearly reaffirms this. We’ve reimagined ourselves, and always with Miami in mind. A new stage for creating positive change in our city, from within Democracy’s College.”

The result of a deeply introspective and collaborative process amid a global crisis, this new identity is both a response to the challenges and an embracing of the opportunities presented by the current circumstance. In times of unprecedented uncertainty for artistic communities and venues due to the global pandemic, Live Arts Miami offers an urgent and timely refuge, an action-driven, people-centered platform for powerful performances, impactful community programs and transformative learning experiences that spark dialogue, raise awareness around pressing issues, and open minds and hearts in all who take part.
