MDC Kendall Campus and Farm Share to Host Food Distribution Jan. 16, 2021

Miami, Dec. 17, 2020 – As part of its efforts to continue supporting the community impacted by the pandemic, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus Single Stop and Student Life offices, in collaboration with Farm Share, will host a free food distribution on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or while supplies last.  This event is free and open to the public.

“Single Stop wants to continue its mission in the new year by reducing food insecurity and hunger,” said Natacha Fuentes-Calvo, Single Stop coordinator. “We have to focus on our community’s most basic need of food to continue to grow and overcome the hardships 2020 has thrown at us.”

Farm Share is a non-profit organization that distributes food to individuals and families facing hardships, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches, and other organizations feeding the needy in Florida – free of charge. The organization’s mission is to alleviate hunger and malnutrition by recovering and distributing fresh and nutritious food to those who need it most. MDC has partnered with Farm Share for many years with events at multiple campuses. For more information, visit
