MDC Accepting Applications for the 10,000 Small Businesses Program

MIAMI, May 8, 2026 — Miami Dade College (MDC) is once again accepting applications for Cohort 38 of the 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB), a practical, classroom-based business education program that provides entrepreneurs with valuable skills to grow their businesses, access to financial capital, and powerful networking opportunities at no cost.

Cohort 38 is scheduled to begin Sept. 8, 2026, at the Wolfson Campus. To participate visit http://www.10KSBapply.com or call 305-237-7817. The deadline to apply is May 22, 2026.

The curriculum includes one-on-one advising, clinics and workshops led by subject matter experts. Goldman Sachs professionals also serve as panelists and judges for “Rocket Pitches,” allowing business owners to practice pitching to potential lenders or investors. Participants will also learn to identify and evaluate opportunities, understand financial statements, hire, retain and lead employees, negotiate effectively, and create a comprehensive growth plan, among other skills.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
• Be the owner or co-owner of a business
• Have been in operation for at least two years
• Have annual revenue of at least $75,000 in the most recent fiscal year
• Have a minimum of two employees, including the owner

The program is a partnership between Goldman Sachs and Miami Dade College. Since its inception in February 2014, nearly 1,000 small-business owners have graduated and are now poised for growth.
