Miami, Nov. 25, 2024 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will transform its North Campus into a winter wonderland for its annual “Children’s Holiday at North,” which kicks off with Santa’s arrival from the North Pole at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for needy children in the community.
Children’s Holiday at North is a magical celebration featuring a dazzling parade with Santa’s helpers, toy soldiers, characters and thrilling marching bands, all kicking off right after Santa’s grand entrance. Kids will have the chance to snap a photo with Santa and enjoy a story from Mrs. Claus. The event also includes a variety of family-friendly live performances, dance teams and more!
In addition, there will be numerous educational and interactive cultural learning activities, such as the Youth in Agriculture Pavilion with a petting zoo, a Human Rights Tent, STEM Interactive LEGO Tent and Holidays-Around-the-World Center, which showcases global holiday traditions. Children can also participate in arts and crafts at Santa’s Pavilion, learn about overall wellness at the Health Pavilion and obstacle course, and have their photo taken with characters.
“North Campus is dedicated to serving our community and spreading the joy of the holiday season through engaging educational and fun activities,” said North Campus President Fermin Vazquez. “Let’s come together, celebrate and make unforgettable memories during this festive season.”
