University of Miami and Miami Dade College to Sign Transfer Student Agreement

MIAMI, May 2, 2019 – Miami Dade College (MDC) and the University of Miami (UM) will continue their long history of collaboration with the signing of a transfer agreement on Tuesday, May 7, at 1 p.m., at MDC’s Wolfson Campus, Room 6100.  Dr. Lenore Rodicio, MDC’s executive vice president and provost and Dr. Jeffrey L. Duerk, UM’s executive vice president for academic affairs and provost will sign the agreement.

The agreement establishes that UM will accept and guarantee merit scholarships to MDC students who have received their associate’s degree from the MDC Honors College and meet the requirements of transferability of coursework necessary to complete their four-year degree and demonstrated financial need for domestic transfer students.
