Miami, April 12, 2017 – U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson will visit Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus on Thursday, April 13. He will deliver the keynote address at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) National Fair Housing Month Conference.
The visit is part of his Secretary Carson’s listening tour, which will allow him to hear directly from the people and organizations who rely on and support public housing.
Throughout its history, MDC has been a place where high ranking government and elected officials gather to meet with students and community leaders. From U.S. Presidents to Members of Cabinet and heads of state, the visits have been frequent since MDC is a national model or excellence and the nation’s largest campus-based institution of higher education with more than 165,000 students.
Members of the news media are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the event and must present valid media credentials.
