Tuyo’s Next Miami Spice Menu Offers a Taste of Summer in the American South

Miami, Aug. 16, 2018 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed rooftop restaurant, Tuyo, will once again offer a culinary tour around the world with a new Miami Spice menu being unveiled every two weeks. In addition, the Bistro @ Tuyo will offer a special lunch menu during Miami Spice, which runs through Sept. 30.

Tuyo’s third Miami Spice menu is Summer in the American South, Sept. 4 – Sept. 15. The last menu will highlight Southeast Asia.

Created by Tuyo Executive Chef Victor Santos, the American South menu features Fried Green Tomatoes, Heirloom Tomato and Georgia Peach Salad, and Southern Bread and Cheese Platter for starters. Main dishes include Blackened Redfish, Smothered Berkshire Pork Chop, Tofu Ettoufee, and Smoked Half Green Circle Chicken. Desserts include Mississippi Mud Pie, Key Lime Pie and Bananas Foster Split.  

Tuyo offers one of South Florida’s most elegant dining experiences, first-class service and an unparalleled panoramic view of the downtown skyline and Biscayne Bay. The Miami Herald calls Tuyo “a smart addition to the Miami dining scene,” while Miami Magazine characterizes the restaurant as “a sexy, modern, Manhattan-meets-Miami space that is metropolitan and cozy.” Open Table diners regularly rate Tuyo as one of the city’s best eateries for ambiance, scenic views, romantic appeal, service, cuisine and overall experience. Miami Spice dinner is $39 per person (not including beverage, tax or gratuity), and is available from 6-10 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday through Sept. 30. Wine Flight is $19 for two glasses of wine. Signature Spice cocktail is $10 and Estrella Damm Beer for $5.
